A cidade de Balneário Piçarras/SC, onde a Nova ARXO está localizada, foi certificada pelo segundo ano consecutivo no Programa Bandeira Azul (verão 2019/2020). Este tem como objetivo elevar o grau de conscientização dos cidadãos para a necessidade da proteção ao ambiente marinho e costeiro, além de incentivar a realização de ações educativas. Essa iniciativa veio através da FEE (Foundation for Environmetal Education – Fundação para Educação Ambiental) trazida ao Brasil pelo Instituto Ambientes em Rede e que conta hoje, com apoio de diversas instituições internacionais.

Em parceria com a Prefeitura de Balneário Piçarras e junto ao Artista Plástico Jorge Schröder, a Nova ARXO se dispôs a pintar o “Peixe de Lixo”. Uma estrutura metálica de 4.90 x 3.00 metros, que ficará exposta na praia de Balneário Piçarras para armazenar cerca de 1 mil garrafas PET.

O Lançamento e Hasteamento da Bandeira Azul ocorreu no dia 14 de dezembro e marcou o início da temporada 2019/2020 do Bandeira Azul no município.

Entre as principais ações que serão aplicadas nesta temporada, estão a instalação de placas explicativas sobre a restinga, Eco Raia, imagens representativas de um peixe gigante com lixo marinho, uma bituca gigante, além de atividades como o Quiz Ambiental e a chamada Caça Restinga.

A Nova ARXO parabeniza a cidade pelo evento e também por conquistar a certificação pelo segundo ano consecutivo. Confira nas imagens o que rolou:
